I'm going to bite and bid 4♠. If it's bad, there's always "nice pre-empt opp" when I realize he bid it on xxx KQJxxxx x xxx.

Obvious answer is that I have a good hand with lots of spades.
Only real downside (other than -1 versus +300) is that partner with some spades and singleton heart will be under pressure to go one more over five hearts.

Despite the heart length, you probably have to bid now because pard won't be eager to balance on what rates to be an aceless hand.

Interesting. Someone finally came up with a hand where its close between passing 4♥ and bidding 4♠, and I opt for the pass.
I think I'll pass this and hope they overbet the pot. 4♠ doesn't look likely to make unless pard bids on his heart shortness.

4♠ for me, pass is second option but my expirence is bidding without thinkking too much usually works better then passing.
