My rewind was mildly undisciplined. I rewind fairly frequently when I expect no worse than down 1, but it's a better proposition white. Our side had just wrapped up +1380 against one of the same opps (he doubled 6♦ with 874 / AK94 / K7 / AJT6) with my blue card 4 boards previously and I was feeling a tad indestructible.
I was more interested in the part of the auction that preceded the redouble. Would Ogust elicit more useful information than a natural 3 Clubs (which will almost never be raised)? If you find out pard has a good hand/bad suit, then shoot 6 Clubs? Yes, on the actual lie 6 Clubs is also a bloodbath, but isn't it a better spot and a decent shot once they whip 5♠? I might have held KJxxxx / xx / KQJ / xx Am I really supposed to raise with that?

You're supposed to not open 2♠ with that. But I don't mind it on the actual hand which has worse defense and more shape.
But you redoubled??? wow...

It was not mildly undisciplined, it was just bad.

That said, there's a lot of blame to go around on this, even if the 2♠ opening is within the partnership style red/red. I don't even know where to begin, but since the most likely strain for slam is spades, why did responder start introducing another suit? And how was opener supposed to field 5♠? Responder should be extracting information through torture bids not showing his hand.

I kind of dislike 3♣. I think Ogust would have been better.
The rest of the auction is fine (except Rdbl of course).
Tough to stay out of some slam though. But no slam is very good. It's an interesting bidding problem.

With clubs 6-0? I doubt you'll make on any lead...

With that said, the worst bid was the ridiculous redouble. Totally agree with Justin's comment on that.

And sealed the Law by vote,
It little matters what they thought -
We hang for what they wrote.
