IMP Scoring, Jack of spades lead.

You are North and your partner didn't rebid 1 but it seems to have saved you from a potentially dangerous lead. How would you have continued in partner's seat? You seem to have a couple of options:

1) Win in hand, cash the A and unblock the K, hoping for 3-3 s if the King of s isn't singleton.
2) Win in dummy with the K and overtake the Queen, trying to establish s.
3) Win in dummy with the K and run the Q, crossing to hand with the K and try to set up s.

Try to deceive defenders?

We can play the king of spades from dummy and play the queen under it. Then lead the queen of clubs from dummy and go up with the ace if it isn't covered.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I like this line...not only has it an excellent chance of winning (especially if they don't play a form of smith signals) but it also leads to a nice symmetry....we hold AQxx Kx and AQxxxx K and take a total of 4 tricks in the 2 suits!

I like this line too. We bid like we ignored our spade suit so we might as play like its not there. If the defense is counting tricks they can see five clubs, two spades + A. From West's perspective if East held the A + K and we held AQ + [AJT + K continuing spades leads to a very easy set.

Smith should save the day. Obvious shift helps too.

I have to say 2 is really terrible. I cannot contain that.
