You play in 3N and LHO leads the 5. I don't think this is a terribly difficult hand, but a good player went down.

You try the 10 and it gets covered by the J.

I guess there's not much value in holding up here, if I lose a club, diamond, heart and 2 spades I'm toast. Not holding up might work out in some ways, e.g. the !hJ might be singleton anyway and RHO has !sAK or whatever.

So, I win and play a club to the Jack. The !dK rates to be onside, given the 2-level overcall, and I'll probably make when clubs are 3-3 or 4-2 with the Q onside.

Yes, this isn't much to this. However, the other declarer took an early diamond finesse, which turned out to be a little awkward. I really have no idea how he went down - LHO held A Qxxxxx Kx QTxx; he must have won the diamond and banged out clubs from the top (not wanting to release his heart stopper).
