GIB defense Blocking suits

I have noticed that GIB has a tendency to makes plays that block a suit in NT....
Partner leads small...xxx in dummy....GIB holding AKx plays x ....letting declarer score with Qx....partner holding JTxxx...

Looking at hand record that Fred-Sheri played

GIB leads K from KQTx against 3NT
K holds first trick switches partner GIB2 wins now from AJxx(x) now plays A and small

KQTX-AJXXX. This is what it blocked sorry im on ipad so this best i can do for hand
