I don't think it is possible to answer this without knowing what a double by partner would have meant. Most experienced players don't have penalty doubles here....double would announce ownership of the hand and values that are useful both offensively and defensively. Opener is expected to pull with unusual shape...thus, with this hand, opener would always pull 4 x'd....exactly what the best call would be is an interesting question.....I can see arguments for 5 or 4N, intending to pull 5 to 5, presumably showing slam interest compared to just 5, and so on.

If we play that method, then I think we have to double, since partner may be salivating over there.

If we play penalty doubles in partner's seat, I swing low and pass.
