Can you probe 3NT here?. Sad fact is we had no real agreements in place.
Would a new suit be F1 suggesting a fit?
What is 3?

Imo a new suit would not be forcing that suggests a fit.

3 now is of course a cue and thats what you should bid imo. This can be fit or can be asking stopper in suit.

Call me maniac but i would have started with 2 NT over 2 .

You are a maniac :)

A new suit is natural and forcing, but does not imply a fit unless you are a passed hand imo, in which case it is played as fit showing.

3H is obvious on this hand, either looking for 3N or a fit. It should be played as GF here, so that with 5S and a fit partner must bid 3N, even with a poor hand. Otherwise it puts partner in an impossible position after 3h-3s if partner could be min with 6 spades or min with a heart stop.
