I play with a couple of partners

1 - 2
1 - 3
Showing no Major, 4+ in openers minor and around 6/9 points.

Seems to me I should switch the meaning for the 2 bid

1 - 2NT to show this. Making it more difficult for the ops to show their Major.
Then 1 - 2 can replace 1 - 2NT.

I play the "criss-cross" sequences as limit raises of opener's minor, with a single raise being game forcing.

With less than a limit raise, one can either raise preemptively to the 3 level or make some bid at the 1 level (often 1NT or 1 over 1).

Its important to preempt them off the two level. 1 - 2 is terrible because you are forcing yourself to the 3 level (or 2N) anyway.

Use 2 or something like that.

I play these as gf in minor
1m=2s=lm in minor
1m=2m or 3m both are weak raises.

I also play Criss Cross, but like this:

1m-2m standard raise (6-9)
1m-3m weak unbalanced (5-7)

1-2 10-11 5crd raise or 12+ 4crd raise
1-3 10+ 4crd raise

My 1 opening does always show at least 4crd. After 1-2 the bidding can end in 2nt if opener is minimum with short clubs (2-3).
