There are still some insanities in the GIBS but they are getting better and better... Here is one I found crazy making.
You are in 3rd seat Partner-GIB is dealer neither side vulnerable.
Auction goes Pass- pass (you bid) 1NT - Pass - 2!D (by partner) - X - 2!H (you accept xfer) - pass - pass - 3!D on your right...
auction continues ... - (you)pass - pass - 4H (GIB)... all pass
4H by GIB is a non-bid IMHO. Incidentally partner's holding is 10 x , Q 10 x x x, Q 10, K J 9 8
In this auction 3!H invite and compete is possible -- but jump to 4H does not seem like real bridge...

So you opened 1nt with 13, bid hearts over the double (promising 3) and at least a full nt opener and you are upset that GIB bid again? Hmmmm
