2S ostensibly shows 11-21, but all the suit bids over 2NT shows 15HCP and 3NT shows 14HCP.

Also, in this sequence, is GIB aware that hearts might be a problem or are simulations suggesting 3NT is still better (or is my bidding completely off)?

Why doesn't North bid 2N instead of 2♣? Does he really need exactly 3343 shape for that?

Why does the description of 2N include "forcing to 3N" when North is a passed hand and South hasn't shown extras?
