really stupid problem display characteristics

My laptop got burned so I had to switch to the veteran windows box accompanied by an ancient monitor that doesn't even support 800x600. Result - error in installing BBO and impossible to log into the site. Should I wait until I am able to have the laptop replaced and/or buy a new monitor - like, in a couple of years' time? Is it possible to download and use an older friendlier BBO version?

P.S. Guess the right term is "monitor" not display... Anyway, it went up in smoke :(((

Sorry - there has never been a version of BBO that worked at 640x480 resolution and it is most unlikely that there will be one created any time soon. The 800x600 restriction has been here "forever" and it is almost certainly here to stay.
