Myhands - how far back?

I am confused however that if I access a traveller via a named individual player going back x days, I seem to be able to access hands that were played in tourneys several days earlier than the earliest tourney that you can access via clicking on the "view recent tourneys" route. Any reason for that?

Myhands is space constrained. Currently it hosts about 3 weeks or data, give or take.

I would have expected that whichever route I go to access the information, the information that is being accessed would be extracted from the MyHands database. Whilst I would not expect to go back indefinitely in time, because of the space constraints that you mention, I WOULD expect to be able to go back the SAME amount of time whichever route I took to go there, ie whether via "view recent tourneys" route or view hand records played by (say) "1eyedjack" over x days.

The myhands database does not contain quite enough data to construct the list of tourneys. We get the list of tourneys from the list of tourney leaderboards (a different set of data); I restrict the tourney list by age ( something like last 5 or 8 days of leaderboards are shown) .
Generally, if you can see something in the "older" tourney leaderboards, you can see it in myhands as well. If not, something might be wrong, pls let me know.

Currently there is a product that archives all the old hands from the BBO played in the main room or in the tournment and team game area. This is a commercial product known as BridgeBrowser. For the last few weeks there has been tournments with the prize free (time-limited) access to bridgebrowser.

Use only http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands
in bookmarks/favorites.
We moved away from the other address almost 2 months ago.
We'll move myhands again soon., and the link above is guaranteed to stay current.

This is not our product, it is offered by user sfbp on bbo. It has a slew of hands, and does various sorts of data extraction from the hands.
I forget his URL but feel free to ask sfbp
We ship him the hands each month.

We store all the hand records ourselves somewhere but the data is really quite voluminous, so periodically we trim the myhands database down to a manageable size..even tho we're now using our own machines to host myhands so we're less cramped for space than we used to be.
If you want the feed of hands yrself I might consider it.. email uday@ and tell me why, and we'll see

Sorry uday, I thought it was clear from my post that this was someone else's product. I should have stated that more clearly. The myhands site has so much FREE information, few will find it necessary to have to PAY for access to a product like brridgebrowser. But those of you who would want something like this (and you know who you are), bridgebrowser is nice. I do know the web addresses that describe this product, they are:
Bridgebrowser Home Page
and
BridgeBrowser online home page
The tourneys that are being held a couple times a week offer free access to the online version of the product.
