I agree with the stress on four-card major suit, but I find the continuations after the transfer overcall difficult.
The predicament is that intervenor may want to show the extra length or a minor suit when the best spot is 2M.
Therefore I have a little twist with it.
2♦/♥=Transfer overcall, 4♥/♠ 5+m or 6+♥/♠
2♠=5♠ 4+m
2NT=6+ either minor, I guess this will be more frequent than 55 minors
3♣/♦=5♥ 4+m
Completing the transfer shows 0-2 card support, then intervenor can remove to his minor suit or pass with the long major.
With 3+card support, advancer usually bids 3♣, pass or correct. We may reach a too high 3M, but this is the LOTT level and I am okay with it.
2NT is 3card invite opposite long major.
Of course with 4+card support, 3M/4M are available as invite/to play.
