So, I understand that when a simple overcall is made directly over opening bidder, a cue bid by advancer is usually an invitational raise. (e.g. 1D-1S-P-2D)
But what about when a 2-level overcall over responder at the 2 level? (e.g. 1D-P-1S-2H;-2S-3D) It isn't like partner can have a lot on this auction. Could it be natural?
Thanks!

I would still play that as a good raise. Advancer can have plenty - e.g. opener has 11, responder only 5, overcaller 12 leaves as much as 12 HCPs for advancer, and he may not have been able to double or bid earlier because his hand was too flat.
