1. what do you lead playing Rusinow leads from KJ1076 if neither you or partner have bid that suit?
2. what if both you and partner have bid the suit [playing rusinow off]?

1. 10
2. J
But I'm not sure why Rusinow would be off if you have bid the suit. If you're known to have length, you no longer have the ambiguity of leads from 10x.
Leading top of sequences when you're raising partner's suit is fine. Even if you "promise" three, there will be times when you decide to raise on a doubleton.

Shown at least four (five?) cards in that suit, you mean?
Ways to bid diamonds without showing 4+ cards in the suit:
1) 1♦(4+ unless 4=4=3=2)
2) 1♠-4♦(Splinter)
3) 1N-2♦(5+ H)
4) 2♣-2♦(waiting)
etc.
