Not a hand I played, but perhaps demonstrates the need for good methods when competing given no pair got near to the optimum contract.

Form of scoring ?
We probably don't overcall so would havew a different sequence, but if we did:
(1♣)-1♥-P-2♣ then unopposed
2♥-2♠
then it's a choice between 2N/3♣ from E ending in 3N, 3♣ will of course work out better when N has ♣AQ98x

IMPS - most of the 1♣ bids would be pairs playing Acol
A touch surprised you wouldn't overcall - stronger suit required?
