How do you progress the bidding?

Not a hand I played, but perhaps demonstrates the need for good methods when competing given no pair got near to the optimum contract.

NB: The overcall can be with 4 with 10+hcp

Form of scoring ?

We probably don't overcall so would havew a different sequence, but if we did:

(1)-1-P-2 then unopposed
2-2

then it's a choice between 2N/3 from E ending in 3N, 3 will of course work out better when N has AQ98x

IMPS - most of the 1 bids would be pairs playing Acol
A touch surprised you wouldn't overcall - stronger suit required?

We keep our simple overcalls up to strength and jump overcall on crap, this is not good enough for 1 and too much for 2.
