Don't know anything about Manaus, but I've walked by the Bridge Club of Rio de Janeiro in the Arpoador neighborhood but never went inside. Of course, that is on the other side of the country from Manaus. Try posting on the Bridgewinners site as there are a couple of Brazilian players who occasionally post there.
