Our agreement is show count ( upside down) if you did not support the suit and you have decided to lead the suit on opening lead (If you had 7 -5 you would lead the 5. )Do you lead the queen or the 9. We are defending a 4 Spade contract. Please advise

If you lead 2nd/4th best (I did that for ages), change the explanation to the opps to 1st, 2nd, 4th best. Lead the highest from at least A, K, Q, probably the J too, maybe the T. And agree 1 card that allow you to choose at will from a doubleton (I used to agree on the T as that card, it might be the J or 9).

So you are saying if holding a doubleton with an honor, lead the honor? What if holding is Q 6 2. ?
