And yes I know I said I had one more trump but grand is not there and we missed out on an easy 6 :(

Your hand is not quite as bad as the OP diagram suggests B-)

I don't know if you could have avoided this when playing J2NT, but playing 2 by S as a generic GF and 3NT by N non-serious after the spades raise you would have probably stopped in 6.

What happened if you start with the correct response of 2C rather than the incorrect response of 2NT?

I probably could have prevented it by intitiating Blackwood myself :)
I think I encouraged too much after my Jacoby :(

Nothing wrong with the 2NT, just for some reason it went for a 70% Grand. Not good enough for me :(
And I did double check with 3 or 4 trumps and still it made no significant difference

I have done it with 3 trumps and less than AKx before :)

Maybe it doesn't do sims and works it out from some AI sequence :(
