I think pass might work out ok and I can compete later. But I guess if I was playing 2 as intermediate, that is what I would open. If 2 was a weaktwo, then I would open 1.

I would pass, I think 2 is too commital to strain when I have a weak main suit and a 5 card side suit, but it could work out if it's their hand.

I would also pass, 2S is possible but there are a lot of flaws for a red imp 2S here.

edit: ok just read the poll, 2S is a minimum opening bid with spades? I'm not sure how to play that convention or whether this qualifies or not, but I'd probably still pass. Again, I think it's just too flawed for a preempt (in this case multi).

I'll use the intermediate 2 now that it's available. Without that toy, I'd probably pass. At least in theory. Might fabricate some number of spades in practice.

Weak 2.

Once you accept making the call with a bad suit, but compensating shape, you always will. I remember Justin discussing how he opens in 3rd seat on just about anything because it works.

I have a similar experience with weak 2's like this, and I look forward to the opportunity to make the call, especially when I think the other table(s) won't.

I think 2!S is better. Because if partner answers with 2nt dealer can show !D . By this way it will be best fit. But it woud be dangerous in zone

Pass, nothing fits and I if I dont have
a bid to show the 2-suiter, I usually pass.

Multi to show a weak 2.

I have had occasional partners criticise bids like this, but I think too rigid a view of preempts limits their frequency and effect.

What Phil said, although I'm not as enthused.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Interesting to see the problem results. Personally I was closer to to treating it as 1, than upgrading to 10-13 intermediate 2, but I didn't really like either.
