weaker hand's trumps should be played in general and this is definitely not an exception.

I'll pass. I have an ace and a spade, not sure why 2 wouldn't make. I pull with KQJTxxx of clubs where my hand might very well be useless to partner. I don't think pulling is awful though, I mean you might just strike a fit and find something big on a good day.

Pass.

3C has to play better than 2S by at least
3 tricks.

Pass, I do not see where partner invited my opinion. As they say, you have bought yourself a dummy pard, gl.

I'd bid 3, because I like my spots. Even across a small singleton, I think I only have two club losers, for 4 more winners in clubs if clubs are trump. I'm going to take my chances that partner doesn't have 4 more tricks if spades are trump- that I can make the spades good even if clubs are trump. With worse spots I wouldn't risk it.

Usually when I have a weak freak like this hand, the bidding moves faster- after all, one or more players has shortness in an unbid suit. So I have one of those weird suspicions that my partner has some diamonds and overcaller's partner has some spades. Normally, it shouldn't make any difference, but if I think LHO tends to go one to many, I'll bid 3. On the other hand, if I think that partner tends to overcompete, I'd pass 2. I do not want partner bidding over 3!

I would pass

the bidding might not be over and this is MP...so I play in the major with strong hand on lead.

It's very possible pard didn't double because he has a little diamond length.

3 might play better and it might not. Or, pard may run to 3.

I think I'll plug in my earphones and let pard play this one.

It is somewhat close. Add the Q and I'm a bidder (3N is starting to look possible).

3C for me. If pd has some D length as per Phil's suggestion as seems possible, then this hand will play far better in Cs.

I fully concede the hand may play better in clubs, but I don't see the correlation of that to partner's diamond length. Are you saying if partner had diamond shortness it would probably play better in spades?
