Must be compatible with Adobe Air.

Hm, so no-name phones will never be supported? That's too bad. I don't think Mobile BBO is worth a $100 brand-name markup.

I don't see how what you quoted implies that the answer to your (rhetorical?) question is "yes".

Our mobile app is less than one day old - "never" is a long way away.

Well I clicked on Diana's link and it looked to me like Adobe is taking money from phone manufacturers to have their phones certified. I don't think the kind of manufacturer I'm talking about has any money to spare for that kind of thing. But maybe my first impression of their business model was not correct.

Programming Ixxxx devices and Androids is a problem, because code can't be reused. Maybe the future lies in software like Mono Droid and Monotouch to use as many code as possible for both platforms.

Flash is not supported by Apple products.

So there is a big challange for BBO. The first step is a nice one.

Can't you just flash your firmware then download AIR+BBO anyway?

The options screen is a bit too tightly packed (iPhone 4) - it took me a couple of tries to hit the right toggle.

I have played 18 boards in a row now on my Samsung Galaxy I9000. Settings were "Zoom when playing" on and everything else off.

The app is very well designed, and the functonallity for the first release is well chosen. It is looking good, and can be used intuitively.

Playing worked fine. There were only very few misclick, by far less than I expected regarding how close the card designators are located next to their left and right neighbors. The most lucky misclick was when I opened 2 hearts instead of 2 spades. Partner raised to game with Axxxx, and I was happy to make with H Kxx in my hand.

The proportional font used makes it difficult to see the length of the suits, especially if a ten occurs. I suggest to use the T character instead of 10. At least this should be a settings option.

The result display at the end of a hand should contain the IMPs won or lost.

When my robot partner was declarer, they played so fast that it was impossible for me to follow. Maybe a "next trick" button would help in this case.

After I had finished playing I switched to the internet and started writing this. I expected that the bbo-session would stay in background, but when I switched back to bbo, the app was restarted from the scratch. This is no problem as long as I only kib or play with robots, but as soon as it is possible to play with other humans, e.g. an incoming SMS should not kick me off the table.

When watching a table I display the settings window. I do not change anything. When I tip on the return button of the phone, I find myself away from the table. Instead, I had expected that just the settings window is closed.

In contrast to most other apps, bbo hides the status bar at the top of the screen, that contains information I like to see always, especially the battery status and the time.

I too get the "not compatible with this device" message. Any ideas as to what I can do to make it work?

I've played for this for a while on my iphone 3GS. (Yeah, it's old, my replacement is coming soon).

I agree that the options are too close to eachother, making it hard to adjust the one you want to adjust.

The Robots that are in this software are not very intelligent, in fact, they've made some really dumb plays. This doesn't seem like GIB; is there any chance this will be improved in the future? Or is this an artifact of my ancient phone?

It would be nice if you had also landscape mode for tablets. Sometimes the online version does not load properly on my galaxy tab 10.1 and it is just much more natural to hold it in landscape.

Probably this will happen eventually but it is more complicated than you might think (for design reasons - not for technical reasons).
