Mikeh's agreement here is that 4NT is RKCB over 4m and 2 places over 4M and that seems to be precisely what you would like to be playing. Is that really too much more of an exception than opening 1M with 5+ and 1m with 3+? I think you are experienced enough to handle it Phil! B-)

Wel Zel I do have these entities called partners...:)

Cyber if it does the i will transfer to it so 6c is the clear bid from south no risk as spades can be bid over 6c. Sry mate at this level its a guess so ask for info with 5hts how can 6c be wrong?

Can't understand what you're saying at all.

Whatever 4nt is, I would bid 5N as Stephen grand slam forcing to let opener pick up a minor. It is not difficult to reach 7.

Yeah, bridge is annoying like that! Perhaps you could persuade Mike to come back and start up a partnership with him...

I like 5, too. IIRC in one of the bridge world MSCs they argued that it should be a try for grand with a cue in the suit, which sounds to me like the N hand. It seems too restrictive for it to agree spades, esp if 4N would be RKCB.
The "4 is a transfer to 4" award goes to Jinksy - PhilKing

I'd consider a forcing bid showing both minors first (sort of what artificial 5NT or Dbl does) and raise 6 to 7 / pass partner 6.

If cannot would had called a forcing 5 and raise 6 to 7 or correct to 6 if pard give me smth else.

What are you going to do over 5 or 6 ?

While it doesn't properly agree spades, I think it shows >1.
