I'm saying you'd have to be a total nutjob to bid to seven. Yes, you make it if you do. But in 6 diamonds, a great contract many will miss, it's also nuts to play for 7 risking your already good score for a bottom if the club is offside. So bid to 6, make only 6.

I agree you shouldn't bid 7, but if somebody else bid it for you and you had to make it, you should.
Also it's not impossible you play 6N, now you need the club finesse unless you duck the first spade and play the squeeze, and after taking it 7 falls into your lap.
