that, at imps, you can better afford a small swing than a large one, and that this might be a double swing hand.
unless my P opens on junk in 3rd seat, r vs w, I might just bid 4S: my AQ of hearts looks like the AK to me, blame it on poor vision. The way I play, if P is light in 3rd seat, then the bid has some lead-directional purpose. Holding the ace of spades, that seems less likely on this hand unless rho has psyched and plans to run if you double (which might be the correct bid- I don't know). Then you're faced with the same problem when rho runs. Perhaps, if you just bid 4S, red vs white, rho might take out what seems like insurance and sac. Very interesting hand. What would you lead if you doubled and it went pass-pass-pass?

If you do want to move, not on this hand of course, a nice gadget is that 4C is an ask; now 4 new suit shows a long suit, 4 of their suit the strong balanced hand and 4NT a strong C suit.

Agree with Double!. Or what about a fit-bid of 4♥?.

There is a case for pass, however, as long as partner is on the same wavelength. I will lead ♥A and get to his hand in one of the red suits (depending on dummy and partner's signal at trick 1).
If only he will lead a spade through next. Can I rely on that?

That's too much to hope for. They won't sit for it, and if they do, it will probably make!

Since I have hopes for beating 3NT, (I will lead A♥ and if partner encourages, Q ♥ and then 10 ♥ to strip him of his hearts until he overtakes with the K ♥, and has no choice but to lead Spades, (make things easy for your partner I always say
If partner discourages on A ♥ lead, dummy will show me if declarer has solid ♦ or ♣, and I will obviously play the other suit to get to partner's hand so he can play ♠.
It is very possible that we can get the first 8 or 9 tricks against 3NT, but that we have 5 quick losers in 4♠. I would try for the plus score and Pass.

I don't think a lead directing 4H bid is right, since it is very unlikely that partner is going to be on lead. Therefore, partner will probably interpret this as a far more distributional hand.
