If you bid 1S you don't get the best result or 4 for that matter - but we were the majority

EDIT - a few even passed and ended up at 4 anyway
I don't know what happens if you bid 3, nobody bid 3

I totally failed using my 234 rule I think anyway given that it appears to have 7-8 tricks + 3 = 10-11 Close
I think Mr Pavlicek's hand evaluator gave that a K-R of something above 13
As for my partner it? would usually expect 8+ spades and 5-9 pts. It? has a tendency to preempt with strong suits sometimes. I know it is not a classic preempt because of the other honors
