I met this girl form Estonia, Triinu, I saw 2 blondes and I asked htem to come to the club with me. One asked me to describe Estonia on a map, and somehow I knew it was near Latvia. Sure enough, we meet but don't hook up because I'm too drunk to realize whats happning. She finds me on BBO and we talk daily. She plans a visit to NY, but 3 days before she comes I try to kill myslef. She visits me in the hospital and is great. We talk afterwards, and it's aweosme. I plan a trip there but 2 weeks before I go, I decide I don't want a girlfriend and don't want to deal with all that *****, so I decide not to go.
I think that I cannot deal with a relationship in general, let alone a long distance one. So. Howpatheric is this?

Finding your own mistakes is more productive than looking for partner's. It improves your game and is good for your soul. (Nige1)

Just need to sort out what you want in life and go for it (easy to talk it, harder to walk it, i know )
Relationships are good by the way. its a matter of finding, or falling into, the right one (also, there is someone else to put the trash out at night when u forget )
Be Happy Justin

Long distance relationships are not everyone's thing, and from NY to Tallinn is a LONG way... When have you last called her? If it's more than a week, call her after reading this, deciding if you want to go on or quit.
Yes, I meant right now.

This mentality about relationships is what fucked everything up with Genevieve for me. Don't make that mistake.

cutting back on the alcohol may be even better, especially since alcohol tends to feed depression, and, if that part about trying to kill yourself is true, maybe it's time to get some help there. The fact that she visited you in hospital says lots of good things about her. And you.

It's kind of the same thing, really. You make it sound like a low-percentage, high-variance play. So, you can either 1) go for it; chalk up the good result when it works and learn from it when it doesn't, or 2) sit on your heels and listen to us in the post-mortem.
I know what my choice would be.

the thing that strikes me as the most insane is that you might seriously think that the forums, filled with bunch of people who only know you through bridge problems, might actually have good advice for the stuff you've posted recently.
This is what your real friends are for, the ones who've hung out with you a ton and know when you're happiest, and when you're at your worst, ideally ones who have met the girl in question. There are always a million subtleties, and if you listen to advice from anyone who can't possibly be familiar with them, you're an idiot.

You got to where you are based on circumstances such as they were. If you can be happy (even moderately) with that then you are way ahead of the game.
Go for it, as you see it, questioning (even drunk) is okay....second guessing is for others.
